New Affiliations

A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog to review a product I had tried. Honestly, my goal when I wrote it was to possibly help another small business have even more success, even if only a little. I’ve finally reached a point in my life where I don’t feel threatened by the success of others, and that’s a FABULOUS feeling.
So I planned a blog to spotlight a product that had helped one of my kids. If you’ve known me long, you know Tyler had a horrible beyond horrible accident last summer leaving him with third degree burns over the entirety of his left arm. After many months of healing, he now has very new, very pink skin that is at high risk for burns. A product that can keep him safe is worth a spotlight.
At the time I wrote the blog, I didn’t know there was an affiliate program for Earthley. I’m not sure I would’ve written the blog if I had, or if I’d intended to join, because that just screams of ulterior motive. It’s one thing to have a testimony. It’s another altogether to write a review of your own product.
Yesterday, I saw a post from a woman I have come to greatly admire saying she was taking over the affiliate program for Earthley and was going to be the manager for the program. I was incredibly happy for her because she absolutely deserves it, but I’d be lying if I said my first thought wasn’t “lucky b**** I would LOVE a job like that!” 😂 It wasn’t a hateful thought. It just sounds like a complete dream position, and exactly what I’d love to do. But I know God has a lot more work to do in me before putting me in a position like that.
I went on with my day, not really thinking much about it. I had congratulated her, so I kept getting notifications of other comments.
Several hours later, I went to the post to read some of the comments, and that’s when it hit me.
Affiliate program.
Y’all, sometimes I’m slow on the upkeep. Not gonna even lie. That means there is MORE THAN ONE opportunity for this. 🤦🏻♀️ No, I wouldn’t be managing them all. That’s fine. I’m still figuring things out so I don’t need to lead the entirety of them yet. But that means I can do this too. Duh.
I immediately messaged her and asked what the deal was. It’s not like network marketing where I get paid more the bigger my team gets and the main focus is on growing a downline, so if that kind of thing deters you, this MIGHT be for you.
